How it works: apply uniform layer; composition will evaporate under high temperature, leaving boron nitride on the surface; to some extent it's also stress resistant.

Why it's better:
- Thermal expansion of wurtzite boron nitride (according to Ioffe Institute) is approx. 1.5 lower than that of hexagonal boron nitride and consequently of other materials. Which means higher stability of coating layer under high temperatures.
-  Thermal conductivities of wurtzite crystal, parallel and perpendicular to the axis, are identical. Which means higher stability of thermal properties in comparison to hexagonal boron nitride.

We make also water based pastes, which have less areas of application, but may be more convenient for you.

The finest grain size is 0.25/0 micron (fine polishing) , the coarsest - 1/0 micron 

Diamond concentration: 15% by weight, or 30 ct. (6 gr.) of diamond in 40 gr. bottle. This is the highest concentration, which can be manufactured. 
If you need higher concentration, simply mix required quantity of diamond powder with any lubricant (oil, glycerol, etc.)

   Synthesis of monocrystalline diamonds: graphite powder and catalyst are pressed in a capsule, which then is exposed to high temperature and high pressure (HTHP synthesis). 
   To receive really polycrystalline diamonds  you need to use ultrafine micron powders (0.1/0 micron), obtained on super centrifuges in small amounts, because of high cost and comparatively low demand (e.g. for polishing of mirrors in space industry), so resulting crystals will be real agglomerates. But if you use powder 40 micron to make  polycrystal and then mill it, you will receive powder containing monocrystals 40 micron and finer, but not polycrystalline powder. 
   Milling of polycrystalline diamonds for pastes  does not make sense considering extra work and no benefits. Although defective diamond polycrystals are definitely milled.  Fairy tales about "more cutting surfaces per particle" of  diamond  "micron polycrystal"  were true about spiky diamond mono crystals synthesized on soviet presses long ago in a country far away. Presses, utilized now (American belt presses in South African E6 and Chinese cubic presses elsewhere) do not deploy synthesis profiles to make similar crystals. (Of course there are expensive exceptions :) )

DIAMONDSMILE DENTAL DIAMOND POLISHING PASTE, DIAMOND PASTE FOR DENTISTRY

 
Application
Smooth and high gloss polishing of any dental material (porcelain, composite materials, amalgam lithium-disilicate, zirconium oxide, veneering and hybrid ceramics, etc), for dental lab or clinic use.
Using a rubber cup, stiff bristle, or felt wheel, the pastes are used to polish the surface until an enamel-like finish is achieved.
 
Content: food grade glycerol, mint flavor, diamond powder, water. 
These water based pastes clean up with a quick water rinse.

Because the pastes contain insoluble content (diamond powder), which may enter the gastrointestinal tract, they are NOT recommended for work directly in patient's mouth.

Application

CBN (cubic boron nitride) is a generic name, there are other trade marks of this material: elbor, borazon, cubonite, etc. 
CBN is softer comparing to diamond, the reason is shape of crystal: 
- CBN has crystal structure   of an octahedron - the number of cutting edges are larger with less sharper corners, while
- diamond has   crystal structure of a tetrahedron - there  are fewer cutting edges with sharper corners.
