CBN (cubic boron nitride) is a generic name, there are also other names of this material, depending on manufacturer: borazon, elbor, cubonite, etc. 
CBN (cubic boron nitride) is the second-hardest material after diamond,  and has the best price-performance ratio for processing steels, comparing to other materials, including diamond, silicon carbide or aluminum oxide.  

Application: sharpening and finishing of face surfaces of reamer teeth, mills, hob cutters, circular saw teeth, drawing dies and other tools made of  steels, including HSS.

O CBN (nitreto de boro cúbico) é o segundo material mais duro, perdendo apenas para o diamante, e apresenta a melhor relação custo-benefício para o processamento de aços quando comparado a outros materiais, incluindo diamante, carbeto de silício ou óxido de alumínio.

Aplicação: usinagem de superfícies cônicas, cilíndricas e planas, alinhamento e retificação de furos cilíndricos e cônicos. Retificação de peças cilíndricas e faces de superfícies em uma única fixação (setup). Ideal para a usinagem de rebaixos e canais em matrizes de aço ferramenta temperado, bem como para a afiação e acabamento de ferramentas de aço rápido (HSS) e aço temperado. Ligante, BP080, ligante especial resistente ao desgaste para CBN
