Boron nitride powder, wurtzite crystal structure, w-BN.
This wurtzite boron nitride powder was manufactured by shock compression (explosion in special military facility) of hexagonal boron nitride.
Grain size: 6/10 micron, see particle size distribution diagram
Application: anti-stick coatings, dry lubricant, high temperature resistant additive, synthesis of superhard materials.
How to prepare boron nitride anti-stick coating for protection of metals, glass, ceramics, composites, plastics and other materials.
Wurtzite boron nitride has a potential for manufacturing of advanced electronic devices, because such its properties as as a wider band gap, higher thermal conductivity, and larger spontaneous polarization, are superior to Gallium nitride (GaN) and Aluminium nitride (AlN).
Incorporation of a few percent of B in AlN and GaN is an important perspective in strain engineering and developing deep UV emitters
According to Ioffe Institute, thermal expansion of wurtzite boron nitride is the lowest among other materials, so it ensures higher stability of coating layer under high temperatures. You can buy high temperature wurtzite boron nitride paste here.

Weight: 150 gr.
Content: wurtzite boron nitride powder (10/7 micron), 40% in water/alcohol soluble composition.
Properties: high temperature resistance and conductivity, dielectric strength (eliminates the risk of shorting out).
Thermal conductivity 2.7 watt/centimeter/°C
(Thermal conductivity of wurtzite boron nitride powder- 7.4 watt/centimeter/°C compared to silver with 4.29 watt/centimeter/°C)
According to Ioffe Institute, thermal expansion of wurtzite boron nitride is the lowest among other materials.
Grain size: 10/7 micron (see particle size distribution diagram of wurtzite boron nitride powder)
Available on stock
Application:
- mold release;
- detaching and protective for high temperatures (up to 2000 °C), accelerates dismantling of connections operating at high temperatures, anti-stick coating;
- thermal conductor, including for more effective heat distribution in 3-d printers' hot blocks, reducing clogs and making removing nozzles easier;
- facilitates cutting of hard materials, extends the service life of cutting tools, provides a lower operating temperature.
How it works: apply uniform layer; composition will evaporate under high temperature, leaving boron nitride on the surface; to some extent it's also stress resistant.
On the first heating there is a mild burning plastic smell, which is the glycating agent evaporating, so for first indoor use ventilation is needed.
If smell is an issue, buy wurtzite boron nitride powder and make water mixture (1:1 by weight).
Why it's better:
- Thermal expansion of wurtzite boron nitride (according to Ioffe Institute) is approx. 1.5 lower than that of hexagonal boron nitride and consequently of other materials. Which means higher stability of coating layer under high temperatures.
- Thermal conductivities of wurtzite crystal, parallel and perpendicular to the axis, are identical. Which means higher stability of thermal properties in comparison to hexagonal boron nitride.

Preparation of sharpening stones
These stones require preparation (dressing), or they will be self-polished after sharpening of 30-50 knives. Then they will be of gold color and work well.
This is common issue for all manufacturers: abrasive grains are covered with bond, so you need to "release" them.

Use and cleaning of sharpening stones
Use any comfortable oil (baby, olive..) to prevent glazing. If glazed - clean with alcohol and toothbrush.
Maintenance (in 1-2 years), flattening/revitalization:
- resin bond stones - with silicon (silica) carbide powders on glass plate,
- metal bond stones - with FeCl.
- 10 mins setting in 25% mixture (25 gr FeCl per 75 gr of water),
- 10 mins polish movements (carefully draw "8") on glass plate.
You may buy 100 gr. of FeCl in grain selection window. I sell it if you buy a stone.

HIGH CONCENTRATION
Weight: 40 gr.
Water based
Grain size: Please select from the list
Coarse grain emulsions (14/10, 20/14, 28/20, 40/28, 60/40) will be packaged in eyedroppers (see photo), because the coarser is grain, the more difficult is to spray emulsion.
This emulsion shows excellent non-drying(delayed drying) properties:
- Unlike other common water-based products on the market that dry out easily, this emulsion is very suitable for lapping as it can be used for a long time without particle clog and fixation(less impregnation) due to fast drying.
- It works really well on strop media that is harder than leather, like copper(half impregnation/half loose), cast iron, granite, CGSW hard strop.
- Excellent deburr properties in loose abrasive's rolling abrasion mode.
Why it's important:
As you know, once you apply diamond/CBN to leather, it will work almost forever. However, for non-absorbent surfaces, most emulsions will lose most of its abrasiveness when washed out -> frequent reapply required = higher consumption and higher costs.
Shake it well before use
Coarse grains (> 5/3 micron) are heavier, so shake it even better,
if you still see residue on the bottom - It wouldn't hurt to stir it with thin stick.
Blade of old knife, polished with these emulsions, grain sizes 7/5 and 5/3

WURTZENITE™ BORON NITRIDE, HIGH TEMPERATURE RESISTANT PASTE
Net weight: 50, 150, 500, 1000 gr.
Content: wurtzite boron nitride powder (10/7 micron), 40% in water/alcohol soluble composition.
Properties: boron nitride thermal paste, high temperature resistance and conductivity, dielectric strength (eliminates the risk of shorting out)
Thermal conductivity 2.7 watt/centimeter/°C
(Thermal conductivity of wurtzite boron nitride powder- 7.4 watt/centimeter/°C compared to silver with 4.29 watt/centimeter/°C)
Grain size: 10/7 micron (see particle size distribution diagram of wurtzite boron nitride powder)
Application:
- mold release;
- detaching (dismantling) and protective for high temperatures (up to 2000 °C);
- anti-stick coating;
- thermal conductor, including for more effective heat distribution in 3-d printers' hot blocks, reducing clogs and making removing nozzles easier;
- facilitates cutting of hard materials, extends the service life of cutting tools, provides a lower operating temperature.
How it works: composition evaporates under high temperature, leaving boron nitride on the surface, which, to some extent, is also stress resistant. On the first heating of wet surface, there is a mild burning plastic smell, which is the glycating agent evaporating, so for first indoor use ventilation is needed or let paste dry.
If smell is an issue, buy wurtzite boron nitride powder and make water mixture (1:1 by weight).
Directions of use:
- General: apply uniform layer to the surface and let it dry;
- 3-d printer cartridges (thermistor & heater) and heat breaks: coat the surface, install while the paste is still wet and let it dry before heating up;
- Nozzles: apply small amount to threads of the nozzle (do not apply the paste to the threads of the heater block), install the nozzle while the paste is still wet and let it dry before heating.

Advantages:
- Thermal expansion of wurtzite boron nitride (according to Ioffe Institute) is approx. 1.5 lower than that of hexagonal boron nitride and other heat resistant materials. Which means higher stability of coating layer under high temperatures (<2000 °C = 3632 °F);
- Thermal conductivities of wurtzite crystal, parallel and perpendicular to the axis, are identical. Which means higher stability of thermal properties in comparison to other heat resistant materials, including such forms of boron nitride as hexagonal and cubic.
