Identical to dark Thuringian shale in working properties, with the difference that this slate is a little harder, which is undoubtedly an advantage when working in Apexoid type sharpeners. The late produces a very moderate fine white suspension. Works with any type of steel, removing residual scratches on the cutting edge. Superfinishing stone, which is recommended to use after abrasives F1000-F2000, or superabrasive 5/3, 3/2, 2/1, 1/0 micron. Each stone is supplied with a slur (a small suspension guiding stone). The recommended cooling liquid are water, oil.
Glossy leather 160-12-7, 160-25-7
Leather attached to aluminum blank for knife sharpening with pastes of fine grain sizes. The leather is polished to make glossy surface to use, applying polishing paste and polishing the cutting edge of a knife.
You can use it without paste too.
